Mr. Manish Misra

Manish Misra is based in Mumbai and heads the remittance business in ICICI Bank, the second largest bank and the largest private sector bank in India.

Mr. Misra is responsible for formulating and implementing the Bank's strategy of offering low cost and convenient remittance services through technology enabled alternate channels and strategic partnerships with leading international banks. ICICI Bank has a share of over 20% of the Indian remittance market.

Mr. Misra joined ICICI Bank in the Strategy function of the newly set up International Banking Group in 2002 and was closely involved with the roll out of the Bank-s international presence before taking on his current role.

Manish is actively involved in various initiatives supported by multilateral agencies, regulators and industry bodies to debate and address the issues facing the remittance industry. He is a member of the SWIFT Working Group on Migrant Remittances and was also a member of the Working Group constituted by the Reserve Bank of India on Costs of Remittances.
